Frequently Asked Questions:

Which operating system does Aquarius work on? Windows 2000 and Windows XP are the only supported versions. It may work on earlier versions of Windows but hasn't been tested. There are currently no plans to make a Mac or Linux version.

Which graphics cards does Aquarius work with? Cards from NVIDIA and ATI are supported. Make sure you have the latest video drivers installed - out of date drivers are often the cause of instability. You can get the latest drivers for your system from the NVIDIA and ATI Web sites.

I can't get my web site to display in Aquarius. Aquarius uses Internet Explorer™ to render Web pages so most sites should display normally. Pop ups and plugins are suppressed though so if your site relies on them, it probably won't display properly.

I can't get QuickTime™ movies to play. QuickTime™ movies will only play back if you have installed QuickTime™. You can download an installer from the QuickTime™ Web site and there is a standalone version available here if you don't wish to install iTunes™ at the same time.

I can't get Windows Media™ movies to play. Windows Media™ movies will only play back correctly if you have the right codec installed. Generally speaking, if the movie plays back correctly in Windows Media Player™ on your machine then it will play back in Aquarius. If someone else gives you a URL to a movie that works on their computer, it may not work on yours if they have a different set of codecs installed.

Do you support playback of Flash™ movies? Yes. Well, sort of! QuickTime™ is fully supported and it contains some support for earlier versions of Flash™. One additional issue is that Flash™ movies are often set up so that you need to click "Play" to start and since there is no user interaction in a screensaver, the movie won't play.

Where can I find URLs to movies? Search engines are your friend! You can also try visiting movie trailer sites like this, finding one you like and extracting the URL from the HTML source code.
